If you have a Mac, I cannot recommend the Tumblr Backup app more highly. It’s still in beta, but it is brilliant. Everything I’ve ever posted on tumblr, every post, every audio file, every photo, is now on my computer. It took less than 10 minutes to backup over 1700 posts using the app. See screenshots above.

The app, like anything else Mac-related, is simple and intuitive, takes mere seconds to start up, and the backup is impeccable.
